Casinolab Casino AML and KYC Verification Policy

Our AML and Verification Policy

We hold a licence issued in Curaçao (number OGL/2024/1450/0912) and we take our anti-money-laundering and verification duties seriously. This page explains exactly what we check, when we check it, and what it means for your account.

Our Anti-Money Laundering Commitment

Money laundering is the process of making illegally obtained funds appear legitimate. Our licence obliges us to operate a full anti-money-laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist-financing (CTF) programme, and we built our internal controls around those obligations from day one.

We run risk assessments on every account, train our compliance team continuously, and report suspicious activity to the relevant authorities under our licence jurisdiction. Our licence was granted in 2026's reporting framework, and we maintain transaction records in line with the applicable Curaçao regulations.

When and What We Verify

Verification (KYC) happens at defined points, not randomly. You can register, deposit and play with only your basic details; full verification is required before your first withdrawal.

  • At registration: your name, date of birth, address, email and phone number.
  • Before your first withdrawal: government-issued photo ID, proof of address, and payment method verification.
  • At thresholds: cumulative deposits or withdrawals that exceed limits set by our AML policy, or any behaviour our monitoring system flags as unusual.
  • On request: source of funds evidence where the transaction profile warrants it (see below).

Accepted documents

We accept passports, national identity cards and driving licences as photo ID. Proof of address can be a utility bill, bank statement or official government letter dated within the last three months. For payment verification we need a photo of the card (front and back, middle digits covered) or a screenshot of your e-wallet or crypto wallet showing your name.

How Verification Works Step by Step

Our compliance team processes documents within 24 to 72 hours of submission, and often faster. You upload everything through the secure verification portal in your account area, so nothing is sent by email.

  • Log in and open the Verification section of your account.
  • Select the document type you are uploading (ID, proof of address, payment method).
  • Photograph or scan the document; all four corners must be visible, with no glare or cropping.
  • Upload the file and submit it for review.
  • We review and notify you by email and in your account; if anything is unclear, we tell you exactly what to re-submit.
  • Once approved, withdrawals are released within our standard 0 to 24 hour processing window.

When We Ask for Source of Funds

If your deposits are materially higher than what your profile suggests, or you withdraw a large amount in a short period, our AML rules require us to understand where the money comes from. This is not an accusation; it is a standard legal check applied across licensed gambling operators.

Acceptable evidence includes payslips, employment contracts, bank statements showing regular income, sale agreements, inheritance documents, dividend statements or tax returns. We review what you provide in confidence and only retain what the law requires.

Deposits, Withdrawals and Limits

We monitor every deposit and withdrawal against your account profile. Deposits start at a minimum of 10 GBP; the minimum withdrawal is 20 GBP and the daily withdrawal ceiling is 5,000 GBP. We charge no fees on deposits or withdrawals.

Our same-method rule: withdrawals are returned to the same payment method you used to fund your account. If that is impossible (for example a Paysafecard deposit), we return funds to a verified bank account or e-wallet registered in your name. Where you have used several methods, we split the withdrawal proportionally.

Crypto transactions in Bitcoin, Litecoin or Tether follow the same checks: we screen wallet addresses and apply the same verification standards as for card and e-wallet payments.

If Verification Fails or Stalls

If documents are missing, expired or inconsistent with your account details, we pause withdrawals until the issue is resolved. Deposits may stay open for a short grace period, but continued non-compliance leads to a full account suspension.

Where we cannot verify your identity, or where evidence points to prohibited use, we close the account and follow the regulatory reporting procedure. Funds in a closed account are returned to a verified payment method in your name. If we suspect fraudulent or criminal activity, the law may restrict what we can tell you while a report is made. Players from restricted countries, including the USA, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Italy and Sweden, may not hold accounts at all.

How Long We Keep Your Records

We retain verification documents and transaction records for the period required under our Curaçao licence and applicable data protection law, typically a minimum of five years after your account closes. Retention exists for two reasons: regulatory audit and the investigation of disputes or suspected financial crime.

After the retention period ends, we delete or irreversibly anonymise your documents. All records are stored encrypted, with access limited to compliance staff who need it, and never shared with third parties except where the law compels us.

Frequently asked questions

Can I withdraw before completing verification?

No. Your first withdrawal requires completed verification, which takes 24 to 72 hours after you submit valid documents.

Why was I asked for source of funds after winning?

Large or unusual withdrawal volumes trigger standard AML checks. We must confirm the money you wagered came from a legitimate source, and the evidence stays confidential.

Which documents do you accept as proof of address?

Utility bills, bank statements or official government letters dated within the last three months, showing your full name and address.

Do you withdraw to a different card than I deposited with?

No. We return funds to the original payment method wherever possible; if that method cannot receive withdrawals, we pay to a verified account in your name.
